Who is behind MTWalls?

MTWalls was founded in 2011 by two young Flemish entrepreneurs Thomas Madoe and Edmond Van Steenberge. The goal of MTWalls is to create a platform through which promising local artists can sell their works. The audience MTWalls is targeting is all people with an empty wall (hence the name) who want to fill it with artworks of local talented people at an affordable price. MTWalls works by the principle of a publisher where it takes care of all logistic problems, production and promotion for the artist. This allows the artist to focus on the creative process. On top of this, MTWalls wants to do business in a sustainable way. Therefore it tries to limit the impact on the environment (e.g. use of green materials) and actively supports local society projects by donating a part of their revenues to a local society project. To raise awareness for these community projects, MTWalls lets its clients decide which project they want to support.

Which artists are you working with?

MTWalls is looking for the hidden pearls, the needles in the haystack! Promising local artists with loads of talent but that have stayed undiscovered up to now for the larger audience. We look for our artists namely in Belgium (Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia), the centre of Europe and crossroad of many European cultures because we believe that there is as much as talent in this country as anywhere else.

How do you select your artists?

The selection of the artists takes place in different steps. An initial screening is done by the people of MTWalls. First of all, an artwork needs to have a certain art level and preferably also a story. Secondly the work needs to be technically good. Finally we look at the "wallability" of the work. Would the work fit on an empty wall. Given that the work meets these three initial criteria, it is assessed by a professional jury.

How about the donations to the society projects?

MTWalls wants to stand out from other companies by acting in a sustainable way. We want to give something extra to society. Therefore we donate a part of the value of a sold work to a local society project dat strives to a fundamentally better society. The buyer can choose between two pre-selected projects. After the sale and donation, the story does not end. We commit ourselves to keep our custo;ers informed of what happens with their donations.

How are the artists rewarded?

MTWalls can be considered as a publisher of art works. We publish works of art in limited editions, with which people can fill their empty walls. The artist can focus on the creative part and we take care of the rest. We generate publicity for the artist and promote his work. We also materialize his creative work into a form that people can fill their empty wall with. The artist receives a fair royalty fee for each work sold.

Which materials do you offer?

Eco Edition Caring for the environment just like we do? Then we recommend you go for our Eco Edition. This edition is printed on Eco Board™ which is 100% renewable and gives a warm and arty touch to your interior. Many established art galleries and museums use this material for their exhbitions. Why do I need to give my phone number?

We need your phone number to able to contact you at the time of delivery of the work. The phone number will not be used for any other purpose then this. How does the payment work?

After placing the order, the complete sum needs to paid beforehand. This can be done through wire transfer to our account or through credit card. Once payment is received, we take the order into production.

Do you also take orders from outside Belgium?

Sure, only since the sizes of the works differ a lot, we might need to charge you an extra fee to ship the work to you destination. After placing the order, MTWalls will contact in a very short timeframe to send you an offer that includes the additional costs and we will kinly invite to complete the payment.

How do I know when my order will be delivered?

When the working is ready from production we will contact you by phone and by mail to find a suitable date for delivery. For Belgium, our transport service also delivers outside working hours for your maximum convenience!

How long does it take before my order is delivered to me?

On average it takes about 10 working days before you work can be hanged to your empty wall at your home!

How is my work packaged?

We care a lot for packaging. Every work is carefully packaged in order to risk no damage during the transportation to your empty wall. Together with the work we also deliver a certificate of authenticity.

Why are there any shipping costs?

The shipping costs are dependent on the size of the work. In Belgium, MTWalls takes care of the transport or outsources this to a specialised company. The shipping costs are including a damage insurance during transportation.

What guarantuee does MTWalls offer?

MTWalls offers a Wall Satisfaction Guarantuee together with your work.When after your purchase you are not entirely satisfied with the impact of the work on your empty wall, you can send the work back to us within 15 days. U will then receive a free voucher to buy another work from our offering. If you want to make use of this guarantuee, you can drop an e-mail to wall-satisfaction@mtwalls.be. We will then contact you personally to discuss the details!
