Blankenberge III by AKG

About the work

This picture was taken in 1900 on the pier of Blankenberge, Belgium. Even today, after more than 100 years, the pier is still a landmark that dominates the coastline of the small town. This image was originally shot in black and white, but a special technique called 'photochrom' was used to colorize this image and give it this exclusive and historic character.
