This image was taken in Essen (Germany). It was night time and the lights of the gas station went off and on constantly. It took different attempts to take this picture, but in the end it worked out great: the hard work was worth it! The picture was awarded with the "Zilveren lens" on the fotofestival of Knokke Heist in 2008.
À propos de l'artiste: Sus Bogaerts
Sus Bogaerts shot his first pictures as an amateur photographer at the age of 17. He developed his analogue shot pictures in his own dark room. "Seeing my photographs appear on the white paper in the dark room gave me a rush of adrenaline, every time again",Sus sais. His passion for photography grew even stronger over time and Sus' landscape and night photography has been rewarded with several national and international prizes (a.o. PSA goldmedal in Quatar, 2010; Argus 2010; International Fotofestival Knokke-Heist 2008)
